24th Year Jared Coomes Memorial Pumpkin Run/Walk
Welcome to the 24th year of The Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk. This year's event is planned for Saturday, October 8th, 2022.
The memorial Pumpkin Run/Walk honors former Olathe student Jared Coones, who passed away in 1998 after a battle with leukemia, and Jared's mother, Jayne, who battled breast cancer. Money raised from the Run/Walk helps supports local charities that helped Jared and Jayne through their illnesses.
The mission of the Memorial Pumpkin Run/Walk:
- Honor the lives of Jared and Jaynes Coones
- Create an event that celebrates family and community
- Raise funds for research and organizations that support cancer patients and their families
